When 10 year old Laura and her family move to a new neighbourhood on the outskirts of Paris, she is mistaken for a boy. This mistake leads her on a fun-filled adventure  with a new identity as Michael for the summer. Eventually though, the summer ends and Laura must deal with the consequences of her deception.

This is the second film by Water Lillies director Céline Sciamma, Tomboy continues her fascination with gender identity and the codes that society instils in us from a young age. In UK cinemas September 16th, 2011

Swedish lesbian movie where Mia (Ruth Vega Fernandez) and Frida (Liv Mjönes) meet each other for the first time at their parents’ engagement party. Mia’s father is about to get married to Frida’s mother, Elizabeth, which will make Mia and Frida stepsisters. Mia arrives with her boyfriend Tim, with whom she is about to get married. As Mia and Frida get to know one another, strong emotions begin to stir between them. Their relationship will turn everything upside down for everyone close to them with dramatic consequences.

Also starring Lena Endre (Swedish Wallander TV series, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo/Played with Fire/Kicked the Hornet’s Nest) and Krister Henriksson (Swedish Wallander TV series) as the parents.
